Your books and your jobs, in agreement

The point of an integration is that you stop entering the same number twice. JobCost syncs two ways with your accounting software, so the field and the general ledger agree without double entry.

QuickBooks Online

Two-way sync of invoices, bills, and payroll. Each transaction carries its job and cost code into QuickBooks, and new bills and payments flow back into the job automatically. No CSV exports, no weekend reconciliation.

Xero

The same two-way sync on Xero: invoices and bills land on the right job, job costs flow to your P&L by job, and the accountant sees the same numbers the crew entered in the field.

Payroll and time

Time tracked to a job and cost code in the field feeds payroll-ready hours, so the hours that hit the pay run are the same hours that hit your job costs.

Payments and files

Collect and match payments, and attach photos, PDFs, and correspondence to jobs and cost lines. Everything around a job lives with the job, not in someone's inbox.

How two-way sync works

Each sync maps a job in JobCost to a customer or project in your accounting software, and each cost code to a chart-of-accounts or class mapping you control. You set the map once; after that, transactions move in both directions on a schedule you choose. When a supplier bill is entered in QuickBooks with a job and cost code, the budget moves the same day. When the crew logs a receipt from the field, it lands in both systems without anyone retyping it.

Sync errors are surfaced instead of silently dropped, and every mapping can be changed without breaking past transactions. Your accountant gets read-only access if you prefer, and can run your regular month-end without touching JobCost at all.

Integration FAQ

Does it work with QuickBooks Desktop?
The two-way sync currently supports QuickBooks Online and Xero. For QuickBooks Desktop we offer CSV export of job cost reports that import into your existing workflow.
Will my accountant need to learn JobCost?
No. Your accountant keeps working in QuickBooks or Xero. JobCost sends them the same transactions with job and cost code intact, and they can log in read-only whenever they want.
What happens if a sync fails?
Failed syncs are flagged with a clear error and can be retried with one click. Nothing is ever partially applied, so your books never end up half-synced.
